The Member of Parliament (MP) for Yapei Kusawgu constituency, John Jinapor says the brouhaha surrounding the controversial PDS scandal is not over.

He said even though the ruling government has cancelled the PDS deal, they have just solved 'one leg of it'.

" . . it is not over; it’s just one leg of it; there is more anon. If we had gone through the proper processes and listened to advise, this would have been avoided. We should rather be holding people liable and accountable for taking us through this," he said while contributing to Monday's edition of Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo'.

Commendation

Some communicators of the ruling government claim the ruling administration needs to be commended following its decision to terminate the 25-year power concession agreement with PDS.

However, John Jinapor disagrees.

According to him, the ruling government was warned but they didn't listen.

"Why should you be commended for bringing shame to us? They were cautioned . . . we told them the deal was bad. This embarrassment is a direct cause of the Akufo-Addo government; nothing else. Their decision to shortchange the system and to put personal private interest above national interest. So they cannot be commended," he added.
