Vice President K. B. Amissah-Arthur is urging the electorates to reject the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming December 7 elections, as the party has no developmental ideas for the nation.

He described the NPP as a private sector oriented party, pretending to be a development oriented one, hence its unrealistic promises.

Mr Amissah-Arthur said this when he addressed a mammoth rally of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Kaleo in the Upper West Region, as part of his campaign tour in the region.

He noted that, development should be relevant to the needs of the people and one cannot sit at a place to be assuring the same thing to every community, as the NPP is doing.

"Development must always be relevant to the needs of the people and one cannot just sit in Accra and think everybody in Ghana must have the same thing like one dam, one district, even if some of the communities do not need those dams," he said.

He disclosed that, as a development oriented party, the NDC always go to the people to ask about their needs and wants, hence the massive infrastructural development across the country tailored to suit the needs of specific communities.

"As a development oriented party, the NDC will continue to prioritize projects that the people need, and not do the things that are dreamed up in Accra and may be irrelevant to a particular community," he assured.

Mr Amissah-Arthur urged the electorates in the Nadowli-Kaleo constituency to retain Hon Alban Sunmana Bagbin, as their Member of Parliament (MP), adding that his experience is still needed for the development of the country.

"On December 7, go out there and vote John Dramani Mahama as your President and Hon. Bagbin, as your MP," he said.
