Majority Leader and the Member of Parliament for Suame constituency in the Ashanti region, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu in an interview with BBCghana reportedly asked why the Minority did not boycott the food and drinks provided for Parliamentarians during the SONA address on Thursday.

The Minority MPs minutes before President Akufo-Addo presented his 4th State of the Nation Address in Parliament staged a walkout giving various reasons including the fact that the President is a 'tyrant'.

However, according to Hon. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu “they didn’t boycott the khebabs and the drinks. they participated fully in taking the khebabs and the drink. They only boycotted the sessional address. The people of this country should be mindful of the kind of opposition we have…”

Confirming the Majority leader's statement, Daniel Okyem Aboagye, MP for Bantama Constituency said when it was time to go for their 'item 13', they realised the minority had already come for theirs and further dared them to speak if they are innocent.
