Kofi Adams should join our 'won gbo' demo - NPP

National Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) John Boadu has asked the National Organizer of the ruling NDC, Kofi Adams to join them in their intended demonstration.

The party has set February 18, 2015 to stage a demonstration dubbed 'Won Gbo' over the deteriorating power crisis that has hit the nation.

However, government appointees and NDC members have dismissed the intended demo, describing it as needless.

Kofi Adams, on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem on Monday, challenged the NPP to bring out alternatives to solve the energy problem rather than critique efforts of the Mahama government.

According to him, the NPP is refusing to admit that the economy has not been stable, thus the deplorable energy situation.

“They don’t bring ideas to solve the energy situation and it is very bad. What would they have done if they were in power? What we need from the NPP is solution and not talking and demonstrations,” he said.

But Mr. Boadu on the same show urged his colleague Organiser to put aside his political lenses and join in the demonstration because the NDC has not shown any seriousness in attempting to solve the energy crisis. But even if he (Adams) chooses not to join, the demo will come off, led by the NPP flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

"Whether rain or shine, we will embark on our demonstration to tell the NDC that enough is enough. Kofi Adams should kindly join us. For the past years you’ve been in power, nothing has been done to solve the situation” he noted.
