Former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, has dismissed claims made by a current presidential staffer to the effect that the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Madam Charlotte Osei, used to attend Cabinet meetings during the erstwhile Mahama led administration.

According to Mr. Ibrahim Adjei, a presidential staffer in the current Akufo-Addo led administration, Madam Charlotte Osei used to attend Cabinet meetings during the former president John Mahama's tenure in office.

Speaking on Starr FM morning show "Morning Starr", Mr. Adjei said that the current petition lodged against Madam Osei by Electoral Commission staff does not surprise him since the EC boss made "constant appearances" during cabinet meetings under the erstwhile Mahama government.

Despite attempts to get Mr. Adjei to recant his allegations due to a lack of evidence show host, Mr. Francis Abban, Mr. Adjei stuck to his guns and insisted that Madam Osei did, in fact, attend Cabinet meetings under the Mahama administration.

But in response to Mr. Ibrahim Adjei's allegations, former Foreign Affairs Minister, Madam Hanna Tetteh shared message on her personal Twitter profile debunking Mr. Adjei's allegations.

Madam Hanna Tetteh, in her message relates that the allegation that Madam Charlotte Osei attended cabinet meetings is simply "not true".

According to Madam Hanna Tetteh, the EC chairperson's attendance - or lack there of - at NDC cabinet meetings could be verified by checking the meeting's minutes for the list of attendees.
