FLASHBACK: A.B. Adjei talks about fighting corruption with Public Procurement Law

A video of suspended Public Procurement Authority (PPA) CEO, Adjenim Boateng Adjei firmly indicating that culprits of procurement breaches will face at least a 5-year jail term has surfaced.

The interview on TV show 'Time with David' with host David Ampofo had A.B. Adjei speaking on how the then new Public Procurement Law was going to help fight corruption in the sector.

The embattled PPA CEO in the interview stressed that anyone who breaks the law will be dealt with appropriately.

He noted that “this time around, the judges are going to have it a lot easier in sending people to jail”.

Adjenim Boateng Adjei has been suspended by President Akufo-Addo after a documentary by freelance investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni cited him for conflict of interest and procurement breaches.
