Afenyo-Markin hands over 14th Library to constituents

Member of Parliament for Effutu Constituency, Alexander Afenyo-Markin has handed over a fully furnished 200 capacity library to his constituents in Winneba.

The commissioning of the library is part of the MPs efforts to ensure children in his constituents with quality education, a vision which led to ‘The Effutu Dream’ that was launched in February 2020.

Afenyo-Markin has so far constructed 14 community libraries in 14 different communities.

Speaking at the commissioning of the new library, the Municipal librarian, Gifty Sey commended the Alexander Afenyo-Markin for his contribution towards the educational development of people in the community.

“…my sincere gratitude to Honorable Afenyo-Markin who has been building libraries with his personal funds. We hope to manage the library well and put the facilities into proper use.” She said

In attendance was The Municipal Education Director, District rep of Ghana Library Authority, The Presiding Member for Effutu Municipal Assembly, clergy, the Deputy chief Imam and many others
