27th MTN Business World Executive Breakfast Meeting to focus on the future of work

The MTN Business Executive Breakfast series is running in its seventh year, The MTN Business Executive Breakfast series is running in its seventh year,

MTN, Ghana’s leading Telecommunications Company, and Business World, Ghana’s foremost business magazine will host the 27th MTN Business World Executive Breakfast Meeting, under the theme “The Future of Work-Preparing the Work Place for new Talent Needs”.

The event will take place on November 21, 2019 at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra.

The event seeks to explore the unique opportunities embedded in the ‘Future of Work’ and the different skill set required. As the world inch towards an even more digital age, companies and businesses are becoming more concerned about the future of work and how technological progress such as artificial Intelligence and robotics could impact talent acquisition.

While some industry analysts perceive that technological advancement would make some jobs obsolete, others strongly believe it’s an opportunity for businesses to adapt to the changes by developing new models for labor and different skill sets needed for the jobs.

Panelists to join the discussions include, Alex Bram, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hubtel; Ehi Benitie Co-Founder Rancard and CEO Clear Space labs; Rudolph Ayertey, Telecoms HR practioner and Dr. Gordon Adomdza, Design thinking Expert and Professor at Ashesi University.

Discussions at the meeting will focus on how emerging technologies could remodel the way we work, finding the right balance between humans and technology, finding ways to improve employee experience and also pinpoint strategies that will enable business owners identify employers fit for future roles.

Commenting on the theme: the Chief Marketing Officer for MTN Ghana, Mr. Noel Kojo-Ganson, lauded the theme indicating that it was very timely and relevant to today’s workforce and those who are preparing for the opportunities ahead. He said, “Organizations continue to work to improve their operational efficiencies to enhance productivity using different inputs including technology.

He urged all persons who are interested in knowing about the ‘Future of Work’ to attend the 27thEdition Of the Business Breakfast Meeting to gain valuable insights.
