A former Deputy Minister for Works and Housing, Sampson Ahi has threatened legal action against maverick New Patriotic Party (NPP) Brong Ahafo Regional Executive, Kwame Baffoe alias Abronye DC.

Abronye DC on Oman FM’s political analysis programme ‘Boiling Point’, Tuesday, 22nd August 2017 alleged that Baba Jamal and Sampson Ahi are allegedly involved in fraud.

But the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bodi Constituency in the Western Region who denied his involvement in any fraud promised to haul the outspoken NPP executive before court for defamation.

“Right now I know where the information is coming from, I will contact my lawyers and we will sue him for defamation. That Abronye DC thinks he can sit in Ghana and do whatever he wants.

Meanwhile, Sampson Ahi has denied being a beneficiary of $200,000 from a businessman in return for a state-owned land.

Mr Ahi who has confirmed meeting Mr Anane Boateng in the company of Baba Jamal, said he told them during their first encounter in 2016 that his outfit was not responsible for the sale of state lands and therefore said he could not be of help.

“He came to my office with Baba Jamal and expressed interest in buying a land but I told them that I do not sell lands aside the fact that my ministry was not responsible for that. I never received any money from him or anyone. I did not even negotiate the price of any land with him”, he revealed on Accra-based Montie Fm.

According to him, the man in question called him later to ask for a refund of the amount since he was being unsuccessful in securing the land a development that shocked him because he never received any amount personally or through his assignee.
