It is not easy for celebrities to cope with trolls and insults - Nengi admits

Big Brother Naija ‘lockdown’ finalist, Nengi, has admitted that it is not easy coping with the trolls and insults that come the way of celebrities as she says they are human too.

According to her, it is not easy having to cope, adding that it takes a lot of will power to withstand all the trolls that come the way of celebrities and not give up on the cause of keeping the very people who troll them entertained.

She reckoned that the public figure status has put them up for the trolls but people should understand they are also human.

Some celebrities, who cannot withstand the trolls and insults sometimes fire back on some fans but not all of them care about what is been thrown at them. What they focus on is their craft and nothing else. After all, it is the fans that make them and the trolls and insults have just come to stay.

Nengi admitted to the difficulty in coping with the trolls when she responded to a fan who was concerned about the situation and wanted to know how she, in particular, deals with them.

“Nengi Pengi you are always loved. How do you cope with all the troll from left, right and centre? I hope is not affecting your mental health. Always the Lord is your strength. Stay happy always 100%” the concerned fan wrote.

Nengi then replied to the fan’s query by saying it has been somewhat difficult coping with them.

She wrote;

“It’s not easy I must say Cause in as much as I put myself up for it, public figures and celebrities are still human and having to see the trolling and insults it takes a lot of Will power to withstand and not give up. I am happy I got you all that love me so that is enough for me”
