Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has hinted that he is open to leaving Italy in the summer transfer window should he get the right offer.

Having started his professional career in Ghana with Berekum Chelsea, the hardworking midfielder moved to Asante Kotoko later before he subsequently earned a transfer to Italy to play for Udinese in 2010.

After spending the last decade in the country, Agyemang Badu is now ready for a different challenge in another country.

According to him, he is concentrating on helping Hellas Verona finish the Italian Serie A season well but will consider offers at the end of the season.

"I think I need a challenge elsewhere before I can call time on my career. I've been here [in Italy] for long and played in the Champions League and Europa League with Udinese”, the player contracted to Udine told Citi Sports.

He continued, “I have also managed to help the club achieve third and fourth places on the league log. It's not easy to be able to do that in Serie A.

“I have also had a spell in Turkey which was good even though I had injuries and had to come back. For now I just want to concentrate on my game and on helping Hellas Verona.

“When that’s done and all parties sit and the offer is good, why not? I’ll accept the challenge”.

Badu, who missed the first half of the Serie A season is now fully fit and will play a key role for Hellas Verona in the final moments of the campaign.
