‘Snubbed’ Malik Jabir scolds disrespectful Ghana FA

Malik Jabir Malik Jabir

Ghanaian football legend Malik Jabir says he feels disrespected by how he was snubbed by the Ghana Football Association during the interview process for the technical director position.

Jabir says he applied for the job but was not granted any interview as the GFA engaged the various applicants for the role made vacant due to the exit of Francis Oti Akenteng.

Malik Jabir who has handled the likes of Asante Kotoko and the Black Meteors (Ghana’s male U-23 side) is one of the many local coaches known to have applied for the job.

He was however not shortlisted for the interview process as the GFA selected three local coaches and 3 foreigners.

Upon completion of the interview process and an announcement imminent, a peeved Malik Jabir has questioned why he has been kept in the dark over subsequent developments.

“I apply for the technical directorship role and I was not fit to be interviewed, I don’t know why that happened,” Jabir said.

He continued “I was even not invited to be tested. They interviewed the applicants via Skype but did not include me.”

“They are talking about degrees, do we learn about Black Stars in Legon? Is there a subject on Black Stars in Legon?”, he queried.
