Tema Youth coach bemoans the absence of Michael Kporvie

Tema Youth Head Coach Edward Odoom has admitted his side’s current lack of goals may be as a result of the injury to star man Michael Kporvie.

Kporvie has been the live wire for the Harbour City Boys in the league, having banged in 3 goals from 10 matches so far before suffering and injury early last month.

Tema Youth have managed just one goal in their last 4 matches since Kporvie’s injury and Odoom says the absence of their talismanic striker has greatly affected the team.

“Tactically there is nothing wrong with the team. The only thing I can say is wrong is the potency in attack, including the final pass to the forward men.

I think we are feeling the absence of Michael greatly. He is expected to be out for six weeks, and this is the fourth week so we have to be patient and wait for his return,” he said.

Tema Youth’s poor run of form has seen them drop into the relegation zone.
