Swedish Club Helsingborgs IF have reportedly up their bid for Kotoko attacker Abdul Fatawu Safiu.
The Allsvenskan are willing to pay $100,000 for an outright purchase of the players.
Safiu impressed on trial at the Club who had initially requested to have the 24-year-old on loan for $15,000, an amount which looked “irritating” to Kotoko hence requesting the player to return to the Club.
Sources reveal that officials of the Swedish side have decided to submit an improved offer to have the NC Special Cup top scorer in their set-up.
The Ghanaian media have been ramping up the transfer with reports indicating the player has refused to return to the Porcupine Warriors hence pinning for the move to join Helsingborgs IF.
Kotoko have already registered Safiu for the team’s CAF Champions League campaign.
