Pro NPP group, PPI Ghana has launched its campaign for the 2020 elections in a well attended get-together at Madina in Accra.

The group, originally Christened Patriotic Professionals Ghana (PPG) was formed after the 2012 elections to bring together all professionals to help bring the New Patriotic Party to power. After a successful 2016 campaign the group rebranded itself as PPI Ghana to instill patriotism in Ghanaians.

President of PPI Ghana, Eric Nartey Yeboah in a brief speech at the launch of their campaign to support The New Patriotic Party’s second term bid indicated that bringing NPP back to power has been fulfilling giving the fact that the government has fulfilled about 99% of promises made to Ghanaians in 2016.

“I recall how we assured the people of Dodge of Nana Addo’s ability to introduce free SHS, I recall how We assured the people in Wa, Ejura, and Achiase of one district one factory and I recall how we assured the people of Yagaba kubore, Okaikoe and Madina of one constituency one million cedis, because we trusted in Nana, the president has not disappointed us he has fulfilled all this with magical dexterity...What more can I say? One good term deserves another, let’s give Nana 4 more years” Eric Yeboah noted.

The president of the group further noted that as professionals, the group was the first to moot the idea of health screening, Livelihood empowerment and distribution of valuable items to deprived communities during the 2016 elections. According to him the John Mahama led NDC government had deprived the people of better life that it was necessary to take those steps, but in 2020 the movement of the dance must change because President Akuffo Addo has changed the tune of the music.

Health screening won’t wash, because Nana Addo has improved the health sector, livelihood empowerment won’t work because the president has consciously bettered the life of the people.

PPI Ghana has drawn up a strategy to help the re-election bid of the president. It is easier to win now than then, it’s easier to tell the story now than then, all we need to do is to remember not to be complacent.

PPI - Ghana has membership including MPS, ministers, teachers, lawyers, Nurses and all other professionals.

Members of parliament that attended the program included Ebenezer Nertey of Ablekuma South, Inusah Fuseini of Okaikoe North and Moses Anim of Trobo constituency.
