New kit deal for Kotoko

Sportswear manufacturer, Kubba, has appointed FIFA agent, Daniel Komla Afesi, as its new general manager as it moves to finalise negotiations with champion club, Kumasi Asante Kotoko over a new sponsorship deal.

The deal will provide Kotoko with kit and jerseys worth $10,000 for their matches and training sessions by the Singaporean based-firm.

The Porcupine Warriors are expected to receive more from Kubba if they win the league title with the possibility of another $10,000 if they win the MTN FA Cup.

Mr Afesi, who spoke to the Graphic Sports, disclosed that the deal would run till December 2018.

"We have already met all the stakeholders of the club, including the Asantenhene, the board and the CEO of Kotoko, Opoku Nti, and is all going well between the two parties", he stated.

Kubba's parent company, Swen Labels International, is also set to sign kit sponsorship deal with some Ghanaian league clubs, including Berekum Chelsea.
