Nana Yeboah promises big deal for women’s soccer

*Aspiring Greater Accra Regional Football Association (RFA) chairman Nana Asante Yeboah has promised a lucrative sponsorship package for Women’s football if he gets the nod from delegates.*

Speaking to yours truly at the Accra Sports Stadium after the unveiling of the Ghana Beach Soccer League trophy, he said the women's game has gone down too low in the country and he is trying to involve some foreign counterparts and companies to sponsor Female Football.

He said it is very ideal to start the promotion and development at the schools where the talents can be picked raw and polished.

According to Nana, Ghana abounds in vast talents on and off the football field and every body needs to be offered the chance to prove himself or herself.

He noted that when Ghana won the FIFA Under 20 World Cup in Egypt some people like Jordan Anagblah wanted to take all the credit forgetting that many Ghanaians contributed their prayers and players.

"I am the one who exposed stars like Gladstone Awako, now a hot cake in Ghana, and many others like John Boye, Prince Tagoe and others. You know I do not like to blow my horns, I want others to do it for me," he said.

Nana Yeboah who has been a football philanthropist even when he was at the secondary school said Ghana is capable of winning the FIFA World Cup if things are done better, like motivation for coaches and players.

He thanked the media for their support over the years in making Ghana Football attractive and promised to make it more attractive.

He also praised the GFA President Kwesi Nyantekyi for his hard work seeing Ghana at the last two World Cups and his election unto the CAF Executive and even going on the chair the ethics committee.

Nana Yeboah said it is sad that those who invest hugely into the game of football at the lower divisions are suffering and promised to fight for a reduction in refereee's fees and find mega sponsorship for the Greater Accra Regional Football Association
