Kofi Adda, three others named among 100 Most Influential Personalities from Northern Ghana

A Jogobu and Navrongo Central Member of Parliament (MP), Joseph Kofi Adda has been named among the 100 people from Northern Ghana with the most influence.

In a list released yesterday by organizers, Rudder Communications and Savannahnewsonline.com, put together the human capital development Project to inspire young people with stories of successful people from the North.

Mr. Adda was named together with ninety-nine other personalities who have added to the development of their societies and made an impact in the lives of their people.

Three other Jogobia – Professor Felix Abagali, a Lecturer and Dean of Engineering School of the University for Development Studies (UDS) and Abedi Pele, a Retire International Footballer and Son, Jordan Ayew, Member of the Ghana National Football Team and International Footballer, were also named in the list of Northern influential personalities.

Initially, the nominees' list of about 200 high-profile personalities compiled from different professional, career and social backgrounds were released by Rudder Communications and Savannahnewsonline.com. The general public is given the opportunity to vote to choose their favourite 100 most influential personalities.

Voters dialled the code *713*714# to select their favourite personalities out of the number and the voting process started on July 2, 2019 and ended on 31st July, 2019.

Organizers explained that, “199 individuals from different professional and career backgrounds were nominated in ten different categories for the public voting. Out of that numbers, 121 nominees, consisting of 22 females and 99 males got votes at the close of voting. 100 out of the 121 people got adequate votes in order to make it to the list of the 100 MIPs”.

“The 100 Most Influential Personalities (100 MIPs) is an annual project intended to benefit children in basic and senior high schools as well as those at the tertiary level in the Upper West, Upper East, North East, Northern and the Savannah Regions of Ghana”.

The next phase of the project which begins this August, according to organizers, is to write the citations and biographies of all the 100 personalities.

“We are now going to contact each of the 100 individuals and request for their curriculum vitae to enable us develop their citations”.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Sagnarigu Municipality, Mrs. Mariam Iddrisu got the total votes of 1,076) to secure the eleventh position and highest female voted for, whereas, Martin ArikuAkudugu, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ariku Farms, got the highest number of votes of 11,140 to claim the overall Most Influential Personality from the North.
