Joseph Aidoo share pain of racially abused players

Ghanaian international Joseph Aidoo, has shared the pain of players who gets racially abused as he indicates that it is not something that should happen to anyone.

The canker has been on the rise since the 2019/2020 season last year and looks to be continuing this year as well.

The disappointing incident that happened last weekend when FC Porto’s Marega was racially abused is the latest on the matter that has rekindled the conversation on the need to put drastic measures in place to fight it.

Commenting on the incident, Celta Vigo defender Joseph Aidoo say he could walk off the pitch just as Marega did if he is racially abused to some level.

Asked what he will do when racially abused, he said, “It depends on the moment, the game, the specific situation. Now I have not made a decision, it will depend on the circumstances”

“I did not see the game, but I knew about the incident through the media. It is something that never has to happen, fora professional footballer itis very difficult to endure those songs because they do not allow you to be focused on the game”, Joseph Aidoo added.
