I don’t follow Ghana football because of Great Olympics -David Mawuli Fugah

Former Chief Executive Officer of Accra Great Olympics, David Mawuli Fugah says he no longer follows Ghana football due to his bitter experiences at the club.

David Fugah served as the CEO of one of Ghana’s traditional clubs between 2004-2009 before he was replaced by George Afriyie.

The former board member is embittered at how he was discarded and sabotaged by the current leadership of the club after suffering an accident.

The accident led to an amputation of his leg and meant he was virtually incapacitated to serve efficiently in his role.

David Mawuli Fugah narrates that not a single club official paid a visit to commiserate with him during this period while they also connived to cling onto power at his expense.

in interview with Accra based Asempa FM,he said “Oh no no not at all(I don’t follow Ghana Football), I enjoy the European leagues, because I have a problem with Olympics”.

“Olympics (there is) so much undermining so I lost interest in Ghana football as a matter of fact”.

“When we were in division one, I was involved in some accident, later I was amputated”.

“None of them visited me in my house, none of them. Papsay (Fred Pappoe), Armakei (Armateifio), R.O. Solomon…so why do you have to be thinking about Accra Great Olympics”, he said.
