English born Ghanaian youngster Arvin Appiah has emerged as a subject of "serious interest" from some Bundesliga clubs.

The winger only made his Championship debut for the Reds earlier this month, when he came off the bench in the 4-2 victory over Leeds United at the City Ground.

It was Appiah’s second first-team appearance, following his cameo in the Carabao Cup defeat at Burton Albion in October, which he marked by finding the back of the net.

The teenager has otherwise been an unused substitute on a few occasions and has also featured regularly for Forest’s Under-23 side.

He has been regularly monitored by some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League, and now it seems his name has been picked up further afield.

According to the Independent, Appiah is the subject of “serious Bundesliga interest” as they have included him in a list of youngsters based in England to have caught the eye of clubs in Germany – though they do not state the teams who are keen.
