Ghanaian winger Thomas Agyepong has picked up an injury following Hibernian home draw with Dundee United in the Scottish Premier League on Saturday.

Ghana has been dealt a huge blow as the 21-year-old spent only twenty-seven minutes on the field after replacing Jamie Maclaren on the hour-mark.

The young winger returned from the treatment a few weeks ago after sustaining a knee injury back in October.

"Thomas is having a terrible time with injuries. I don’t know what the prognosis is at the minute, but it is very frustrating because of his talent.” Coach Lennon said.

The Ghana international has made six appearances and scored once for Hibernian this season.

Agyepong joined English Premier League side Manchester City in 2015 from the Right to Dream Academy.

However, he joined the Scottish side from Manchester City on a season-long loan deal at the start of the 2018/19 season.

He has previously played for FC Twente and NAC Breda on loan.

Agyepong made his debut for the senior national team, the Black Stars of Ghana in a 5–0 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualification win over Ethiopia on 11 June 2017.

He made four further appearances for Ghana during 2017, including two 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Congo.
