The 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League will kick off on the weekend of December 21, the Ghana Football Association has announced.

The Division 1 League and the National Women’s League are also expected to kick off on the same weekend.

The start of the league will be preceded by several other activities including the GFA Ordinary Congress on December 12 and the launch of the leagues on December 17.

These are contained in the draft GFA football calendar of the 2019/2020 season released today.

The leagues are expected to end in July 2020.

This season’s league will see 18 teams instead of the usual 16 teams compete after King Faisal and Great Olympics were readmitted into the league to end litigation against the GFA.
