Ghana Football Crisis: Don't dissolve GFA - Nyaho Tamakloe to government

Former president of embattled Ghana Football Association, Dr Nyaho Tamakloe has faulted government’s approach to solving the problems of football governance.

Dr Tamakloe who is also a Board member of Accra Hearts of Oak believes the Anas Expose`does not warrant the kind of intervention government is making, instead, the problems confronting the football body could be solved with the FA’s internal football measures.

Citing FIFA’s way of managing the corruption allegation against its former President, Seth Blatter as an example, he said Ghana can borrow from that and control the recent unrest within the FA’s statutes.

“I believe what is happening to Ghana Football is not a big problem and must be corrected from within. Not everyone at the Football Association was indicted so the remaining executives can be called upon to handle the problem”, he said.

“Just as FIFA did, the former President was just asked to step aside and their issues were resolved and I think we should copy from that example and solve the problem we face now”, he added.

Dr Tamakloe asked that the government treads cautiously, admonishing the liaison team to be vigilant.
