Kotoko interested Karela FC striker William Opoku Mensah

Asante Kotoko have turned their attention to Karela FC striker William Opoku Mensah, according to reports in Kumasi.

The Porcupine Warriors are bent on bolstering their squad for the CAF Confederation Cup Group stage campaign.

After failing to sign AshantiGold trio Shafiu Mumuni, James Akaminko and Richard Dodji, Kotoko are said to have opened talks with Karela.

Mensah scored seven goals in the first half of the truncated Ghana Premier League before the suspension of the league.

His goals include the hat-trick against Hearts of Oak in the 3-1 win at home.
