Ghana’s all-time leading scorer, Asamoah Gyan has confirmed he is on a verge on joining a new club as earlier reported by GHANAsoccernet.com

GHANAsoccernet.com reported that Asamoah Gyan is set to join Indian Super League side NorthEast United as a marquee signing for the upcoming season.

GHANASoccernet.com understands talks between the Guwahati-based and Gyan’s representatives are far advanced and the deal could be announced later this month.

Gyan has confirmed to the media on Wednesday about a transfer which is likely to see him go to Asia but was mute about the particular club

“Yes it’s true I’m on the verge of joining a new club and negotiations are on going, can’t mention the club , but we are almost done”

The Ghana legend is currently a free agent after terminating his contract with Turkish club Kayserispor has had stints with clubs such as Sunderland, Udinese, Stade Rennes , Al Ain, Shanghai SIPG
