Fatawu Mohammed stripped off Hearts captaincy after criticising tranfer policy

Hearts of Oak spokesman Kwame Opare Addo has confirmed Fatawu Mohammed has been stripped of his captaincy.

The full-back is being punished for making damning public comments on the club’s recruitment policy. Fatawu criticized the club for not bringing in ‘experienced’ players to augment the efforts of the youngsters in the current crop.

But management in their reaction have stripped Fatawu Mohammed off his captainship albeit on a temporal basis.

“He made certain comments through inappropriate channels and we’ve sanctioned him,” Opare Addo told Asempa FM.

“It is not that he’s being stripped off the captaincy permanently. It is a temporal measure for now.”
