Accra, Nov 10, GNA - The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has advised that advertisements and promotions on the success of the Black Stars should be limited to the messages of congratulations without presentations of themes that suggest non-existence of involvement. It said non-adherence to the advice would amount to ambush marketing and that situtation would not be countenanced.
Mr Kofi Nsiah, General Secretary of the GFA in a release copied to the GNA Sports said it has come to its notice that some corporate bodies have placed congratulatory advertisements in the various media that suggest an attachment of their products to the success of the Black Stars
The release said some organisations are also organising various activities bearing the label of the Black Stars without the knowledge of the GFA.
Mr Nsiah said the GFA would therefore prefer that corporate bodies come forward to support the team in tangible forms that would bring direct and mutual benefits to the GFA and the companies concerned.
