Cape Coast Stadium is the best to host Ghana vs Egypt - Osei Palmer

The vice chairman of the Black Stars management committee, Wilfred Osei Kweku says the reasons why the Ghana-Egypt World Cup qualifier has been shifted to Cape Coast is for other Ghanaians in the country to have a feel of the team.

Osei Kweku popularly known as Palmer indicated that Accra, Kumasi and recently Tamale have been hosting majority of their matches and it is a step in the right direction to move the final game with Egypt to Cape Coast.

The GFA Executive Committee member further highlighted that players of the Black Stars in the last few years have been brooding over the nature of the country’s pitches and he is optimistic that the Cape Coast Sports Stadium which hosted the 2017 WAFU Tournament is the best they can play on now.

“We want every Ghanaian to have the feel of the Black Stars, when we play at one place we tend to lose supporters so we have to rotate ” He told footballmadeinghana.com.

“The players do complain about the nature of the pitches. Cape Coast pitch currently is the best in the country, the WAFU Competition was successfully played there and the pitch is in good condition,”

The Black Stars will host Egypt in Cape Coast stadium in the last round of the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifiers on November 12.
