C.K is tough but will need the support of Ghanaians to succeed – Tony Yeboah

Former Ghana international Anthony Yeboah has called on Ghanaians to support Charles Kwablan Akonnor to succeed as Black Stars coach.

Yeboah who played with C K Akonnor during their time with Black Stars believes without the support of all Ghanaians, it will be difficult for the young gaffer to achieve the target.

The former Black Stars captain has been tasked to win Africa Cup of Nations trophy which has eluded Ghana since 1982.

“I always call C.K Slim Macho. He is a tough person but it will not be about his pedigree,” Yeboah said on GTV.

“C.K needs support, he can’t do it alone. Everyone has to support him and give him a chance. Without that, C.K can’t do it alone because, without support, he can’t do anything.”

The former Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak coach was appointed in January following the departure of Kwasi Appiah.
