Bugri Naabu 'kicked out' by Samba in NPP Northern Chairman race

Northern Regional Chairman of the NPP, Daniel Bugri Naabu Northern Regional Chairman of the NPP, Daniel Bugri Naabu

The incumbent Northern Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Daniel Bugri Naabu, has been defeated at just the ended Northern Regional delegates congress by his closest contender Mohammed Samba, held at the Aliu Mahama Sports stadium in Tamale.

Daniel Bugri Naabu, who was tipped by many to win, had 116 votes, whiles Business mogul, Mohammed A. Baantima Samba won the Chairman slot with 312 votes of a total votes cast of 492.

Bugri Naabu who was involved in a car accident on the Damongo-Bole highway when he was returning to Tamale after a successful campaign in the Bole and Sawla constituencies, today towed his mangled car to Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium to amass sympathy votes.

Prior to the elections we heard rumours circulating that, the number one gentle man of the republic of Ghana 'His Excellence Nana Addo' has threatened to sack municipal and district chief executives in the region should Mr Bugri Naabu losses elections.

In regards to this rumours, will President Nana Addo sack appointees as promised? However, the answer should be a two-way effect, because, you can’t eat your cake and have it.
