A teacher in the Upper East Region of Ghana has sacrificed his salary for February to get some materials to support his community’s fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.

The teacher of Bolgatanga Senior High School, David Attiah spent his salary on Veronica buckets, liquid soap and hand sanitizers which he gave to various food vendors and drinking spots within his community.

To him, it is imperative for everyone to protect not only themselves but their neighbours as well to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

During his presentation, he stated that he was motivated by the call from former president John Dramani Mahama to for all Ghanaians to show compassion to each other in this critical time.

David Attiah further urged members of his community to observe all the World Health Organisation’s safety protocols to protect themselves from the virus.
