Besiktas set to sign Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Mensah from Kayserispor

According to TransferMerkez, Besiktas are set to sign Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Mensah on loan in January.

The 24-year-old joined Kayerirspor on loan in the summer from parent club Atletico Madrid.

However, Besiktas are willing to cut short the loan spell of the player to allow him to join them in January.

Talks between Spanish Club Atletico Madrid, parent Club of the Ghanaian international and the two Turkish Clubs thus Besiktas and Kayeserispor are currently ongoing.

Besiktas will need to pay Kayserispor the remaining sum involved in Mensah’s deal with the latter to enable him join the former.

A tweet from TransferMerkez reads:

“Besiktas, Kayserispor in the form of a loan to take the bonservis of Bernard Mensah was an agreement with Atletico Madrid. Besiktas, Kayserispor will ask for permission to get between the circuit Mensah, if the negative response takes place in the end of the transfer season. (via @akrksmng)”.

The ex-WAFA star has been unable to break into Atletico Madrid’s first team since joining the Club from Getafe.
