Hearts of Oak striker Abednego Tetteh has mentioned Baba Rahman as the luckiest Ghanaian footballer.

According to the former Al Hilal forward, ex Asante Kotoko left back Rahman has been able to reach the level he is now because he has an influential agent who always pulls the strings in his favor.

Abednego Tetteh made these claims when he was highlighting how some agents are short-changing Ghanaian players abroad.

Tetteh has had stints with clubs in Sudan, Ethiopia and India and he was sharing his experience on FootballMadeinGhana’s ‘GH Footy Show’ with Sheikh Tophic.

He narrated his story and juxtaposed it with the career trajectory of Baba Rahman.

Rahman made a breakthrough move from Asante Kotoko to German side Greuter Furth and has not looked back since.

The 25 year old has gone on to represent sides like Augsburg, Schalke 04, and Stade Reims (French Ligue 1).

He’s currently on loan at Spanish La Liga side RCD Mallorca from parent club Chelsea.

Abednego Tetteh has credited Rahman’s representatives with these high profile moves and believes he’s very lucky to be in such hands.

“Someone like Baba Rahman, I always say that guy is the luckiest footballer in Ghana” he told FMIG’s GH Footy Show.

“Since Baba Rahman traveled abroad (from Asante Kotoko), almost every year he gets a team to join even when he’s injured.”

“This is because he has a very good agent who has links”, he noted.

The former Bechem United goal poacher has bemoaned the rate at which some agents swindle local players.

Tetteh said, he would have been better off than he is now if he had an agent like Baba Rahman’s.

“But there are some agents who I refer to as ‘Hand to Mouth Agents’, they only care about what they will benefit ( and don’t care about your welfare as a player)

"If I had Baba Rahman’s agent, I know definitely I would have been a regular in the Black Stars”

“I know that guy is the most luckiest (sic) player in Ghana”, he concluded.
