AshGold boss wants to buy back Lamborghini he lost in betting war

President of AshantiGold Dr. Kwaku Frimpong has offered to buy back the expensive car he gave out after losing a bet in Sunday’s friendly clash against Asante Kotoko.

The Miners chief had challenged supporters of Kotoko to a bet prior to Sunday’s game at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Dr. Frimpong, popularly known as ‘Champion’ had sworn his club will beat the Ghanaian giants and that he was ready to bet with one of his expensive cars.

The famous businessman duly honoured his word by giving away his Lamborghini after AshGold’s 3-2 defeat at the hands of Asante Kotoko.

Champion now says he is ready to buy back his car from the new owner who was presented with the car by Executive Chairman of Kotoko Dr. Kwame Kyei.

“I have given the car away, it is gone,” he told Kessben FM.

“I don’t even think about it. It doesn’t worry me at all.

“But if the new owner chooses to sell, I will gladly buy the car back.

“Yes, if he puts it up for sale, I will pay for it.”

The Lamborghini lost by Dr. Frimpong is estimated to worth in excess of $50,000.
