Investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas has said there are several leads that the Police can follow up to arrest the murderers of his partner Ahmed Hussein Suale.

Ahmed Husein was shot three times, twice in the chest and another in the neck by gunmen on motorbike in Madina, Accra while driving home on Wednesday night.

The Homicide Unit of the Police Service has commenced investigations to unravel circumstances leading to the murder. The Investigators numbering 15 have picked vital information from the crime scene and are speaking to eyewitnesses.

Some eye witnesses who spoke to Kasapafmonline.com stated that they saw the unidentified assailants lurking around the neighborhood on a motorbike hours before he was killed.

Anas Aremeyaw Anas told the BBC that there were threats on the life of Ahmed Hussein Suale following the broadcast of the #12 documentary that exposed deep seated corruption in Ghana football.

“There were death threats some made openly and some made against us which we tendered to the Police during the #12 documentary for investigation. We have to be careful murder is about proving beyond reasonable doubt. I guess these are the leads that the law enforcement officers will look at and if there’s in any merit in it.”

Ahmed was one of Tiger Eye investigators who had his picture circulated by Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong in his ‘who watches the watchman’ anti-Anas video documentary and called on the public to deal ruthlessly with him whenever they came into contact with him, and promised monetary reward for the perpetrators.
