The Ghana national team moved back to 51st position in the FIFA global football rankings released on Thursday, September 20.
The Black Stars used to occupy this position back in April but improved overtime.
However, Ghana have now dropped six places after moving to 45th position in the August release.
This fall comes on back of the Black Stars’ shocking 1-0 loss to Kenya in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers earlier this month. The Harambee Stars benefited by moving six places up to 101st position.
Ghana also failed to keep their 2nd spot on the African rankings and now move to 7th position.
The Black Stars have the opportunity to bounce back with two Afcon qualifying games against Sierra Leone next month.
Tunisia lead the African countries with Senegal, DR Congo, Morocco and Nigeria filling the top 5 places.
Cameroon are ranked sixth, followed by Ghana, Burkina Faso, Mali and Egypt filling completing the Top 10 bracket.
