2017 Accra Marathon winner wins maiden edition of ‘King of the Mountain’

2017 Accra Marathon winner Malik Yakubu on Friday won the 2018 Atinka Media Village Marathon dubbed, "King of the Mountain".

Yakubu took home GHC 5,000 and hampers from the sponsors after finishing first in the men category.

The King of The Mountain Marathon, which is aimed at promoting Ghana through tourism started from the Ayi-Mensah Police Barrier and witnessed over 600 participants who covered a distance of 7km respectively.

Malik proved his mettle by crossing the finish time in a time of 24 minutes and 17 seconds.

Azure Elizabeth was awarded a cash prize of GHC 3,000 cedis and souvenirs for winning the Women's category.

The 2018 King of The Mountain was sponsored by Abii National Savings & Loans, Entrance University Hospital, Priority Insurance and Sparkle Natural Mineral Water.
