  Just reading this for the first time. I'm surprised no one commented on it. The Prof. is absolutely right about the illogicity of the SC's decisions. Those judges should be ashamed of themselves for such egregious decision. It's one in line of the series of bastardisation of the principles of governance and institutions which have become the hallmarks of this Akufo Addo regime. The judges and lawyers are the chief culprits to blame for this bending of the laws of natural justice. They're not the only ones who study the principles of governance. We political scientists say politics trumps the law, but this is taken to absurd levels, as the case is in Ghana presently, then the people are right to lose respect for the legal institution as a whole. Ultimate result is the people taking the laws into their owns hands, eventually with guns, as happening in too many parts in Africa; then they are branded as "terrorists."
