It is 'childish' to say you will review Free SHS – John Boadu punches Mahama

John Boadu, General Secretary of NPP John Boadu, General Secretary of NPP

General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu has described as infantile former President John Mahama's claim of reviewing the free SHS policy.

The former President speaking at the official opening of the 27th Annual Presidential Delegates Congress of the Ghana National Union of Technical Students said he would review the Free SHS policy to make it better.

“I am determined to make the free SHS a beneficial learning experience more than the current miserable condition our children are facing under Nana Akufo-Addo” he indicated.

The ruling NPP is however surprised at the sudden change of mind since they claim the former President and the NDC have been against the free SHS from day one.

Meanwhile, the NDC claims they never opposed the policy.

John Boadu speaking in a panel discussion on Peace FM morning show 'Kokrokoo' said it is 'childish' to just say "you will review the free SHS policy" and that the former President needs to go further to "tell Ghanaians how he intends to accomplish his purpose.

"...he should go ahead and indicate what exactly he is going to do but just saying ‘I will review’ is childish. The NDC should just admit and concede that their previous argument on free SHS was flawed and then indicate what they will do differently; then we compare. Where they not the ones who were questioning where we will get the money to fund the policy, so where will they also get the money to review" he queried.
