Asante Kotoko are in the CAF Confederation Cup Group C as the Sudanese giants Al-Hilal and Zambia duo Zesco United and Nkana FC.

Al-Hilal have lost just once in eight league matches this season and they have scored 22 goals. That is 2.75 soring rate.

Al-Hilal Educational Club won their record-extending 27th Sudanese Premier League title last year having won 25 matches in 30 games overall and are on course to land league title number 28 this season but the Leader of the Country suffered a blip on Thursday.

Merreikh Al-Fasher inflicted a first defeat against Al-Hilal when they defeated the Champions by 2-1 during a Week 8 encounter.

The reverse was an accident as the Champions are not used to losing. The team of Irad Zaafouri have now won 6 times, drawn once and lost just once. They have found the net 22 times while allowing 4.
