James Camp Prison holds New Year Party

The James Camp Prison in Accra has held its annual New Years Party at its Roman Ridge premises.

Senior officers and their junior counterparts drank, ate and danced late into the night in the merrymaking characterized get-to-gether. Deputy Director of Prisons, Mrs Patience Baffoe commended officers highly for their diligence in their respective offices.

She told the cheering gathering " I must commend you for demonstrating gross diligence in your respective endeavours.

"We had a hectic time in 2018, having worked so hard in the past year, the highlight being our 70th anniversary."

She said her outfit would be guided by its theme for the year 'Ready for impact' to move a notch higher in its operations.

She added " We are ready to make greater impact this year. We would be partnering zoomlion to clean the cities.

"Plans are in place for a tricycle assembly point to take care of waste materials. Already, we have graduated our first badge of professional barbers."

She said the reform centre has plans to equip the numerous artisans with the requisite skills before graduation.
