By betraying the U.S. who helped Nkrumah raise IMF loan to build the Akosombo Dam and Valco etc and by becoming an ally of Soviet Union, he became his own enemy. Not only did Nkrumah bring KGB agents he also brought over 2,000 Russian-made Farm Tractors with no English Translation and no Spare parts towards his State Farms Project but they quickly broke down for lack of maintenance. All his state-owned enterprises failed to make profits. Some folks on this platform don't know what they're talking about. They only resort to insults when hard pressed for facts. It's a pity! Nkrumah blindly followed W.E.B. Dubois, himself an American citizen-turned Communist to become an Ally of Russia. Dubois died and buried in Ghana when the U.S. refused to renew his Passport to allow him return to America. He was preaching in Communism in the U.S. during the peak of the "Cold War" era. These are some of hidden truths.
