It has been said, "He who asserts must [also] prove." According to legal minds, the burden of proof is first on the accuser and not the accused.

Prof. Atuguba should provide proof by releasing his research work on judges' political leanings and judgments on political matters presented in the courts of law. He must provide the methodology or methodologies he used for the research.

The Chief Justice accused the Prof. of importing American research into the [Ghanaian] environment. Now the burden is on her to provide the approved or credible methodology or methodologies, philosophical worldview/s, and strategy/strategies of inquiry for academic research different for Ghana. She must be very specific on the social sciences, pure sciences, and mixed methodologies and provide sources for reliability check or verification.
