Tema West MP begins distribution of 2,000 pieces of dual desk to schools

The Member of Parliament for Tema West, Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah has begun the distribution of 2,000 pieces of dual desk to government schools in his constituency.

The distribution comes as a result of some sitting challenges facing the government schools in his constituency.

The Deputy Trade Minister who doubles as MP for Tema West, early this year tasked his 2016 campaign manager, Nana Boakye to conduct a need gap analysis of all public schools in the constituency.

The analysis revealed that one of the major problems facing the public schools was student to desk ratio which is currently between 3 to 4 children per dual desk.

Report submitted to Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah by Nana Boakye compelled the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry to launch “Two Student per Dual Desk Campaign”.

The campaign was to Purchase 2,000 pieces of Dual Desk and distribute to the all public schools in the Constituency.

The first beneficiary to the 2,000 dual desk is Sakumono Village TMA primary and JHS school. The school Received 100 pieces of the desk and some teachers learning materials.



Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah stated that, he is poised to learning and teaching Materials and Facilities in all Public Schools in Tema West Constituenc as he promised during his 2016 campaign.
