I won't be surprised if Akufo-Addo reshuffles Sports Ministry - Pius Hadzide

Deputy Sports Minister Pius Hadzide says he would not be shocked if President Nana Akufo-Addo decides to re-assign him or his boss Isaac Asiamah in 2018.

According to Hadzide, his boss has discharged his duties diligently after replacing Nii Lante Vanderpuije, who held the post for seven months.

Among some of Asiamah’s achievements are reconnecting power supply to the Accra Stadium as well as rolling out a programme to train and employ over 5000 youth professionals in sports.

Hadzide believes his boss has performed creditably well since taking over.

“We are doing very well, despite the challenges in the Ministry. We inherited a difficult situation – disconnection of stadium lights and fast deteriorating national edifice et al. But we think we have done excellently well. As for the President’s prerogative to change anybody is a decision I will welcome and won’t be surprise at all,” he told Starr Sports.

Nana Addo’s first reshuffle is expected in 2018.
