It is the players' profession and their best means of securing a solid financial future for themselves and their families at large. Look around and see how many former player are experiencing finacial difficulty because they naively spent their careers chasing a legacy instead of securing their future Acheampong made the right choice, and I hope all our players learn from his situation. It's actually the same credo in other sports; Ever wonder why Mayweather is fighting Conor McGregor and not Keith Thurman or Danny Garcia who are infinitely better boxers than McGregor would ever be?

You have a very important point, but ask yourself the players you compare frank with, what are their respective standings in their national leagues. A famous player once said after your career is over what you achieved as a player becomes important compared to the monies achieved. Today ex players make a lot of money from punditry work like marcel desailly. Do you think he would had that chance by playing in China or Dubai or Adebayor is making with Afcon at itv in England. Make your name in Europe first and find money later on your career because the name will still make you money after you have retired.
