I support you,casely hayford .Ghana parliament is most useless institution,why should take money from institutions before passing a bill.we thought,the current speaker of parliament was come to shape the sinking image od parliament as they are engulfed in corruption gaft but he has also entangled himself in the corruption Web.
The current speaker has being minister of God,academic in political science and lawyer,one thought with much of his in depth knowledge he will bring to bear in shaping the sinking name of ghana parliament but he has rather failed and has allowed himself to be controlled by babies with sharp teeth and hallowed and dumbed mind from both NPP AND NDC.

We know that Bawumia must have used his mallams to do juju on Nana so Nana is blind to all this stupidity coming from this very toxic fool Bawumia. Being able to read or being literate doesn't mean you are educated no matter how many Phd degrees you can boast off. on the issue of galamsey what really destroys our country causing the poisoning of the waters and barrenness of the land are the heavy metals including mercury and cyanide. The quantities of this product could not be imported into this country without the political blessing and pro-activism of both the exporting country China and ours. China is an exporter of economic terrorism and undermining our economic potential by actively corrupting our willing politicians and strategically destroying the future of our children. These are the allies of pepeni Bawumia , Mahama and all other Akan haters and their traitors amongst us. Where in the world today could you transport such quantities of these poisons mercury , cyanide and such without it being monitored? Can China claim they didnt know? the bill to now sort out the sanitation , water cleaning and waste management is now over $ 40 billion DOLLARS. Why do we we need Chinese money when the American EXIM bank has publicly offered us tens of billions with the much needed technology yet they are ignored as only Chinese and arab/muslim money is acceptable? I have said many times that the corner stone of any country's development are the diaspora , check Germany Japan China etc but in our country infested by Islamic stupidity we have rather a whole ministry for Zongo stupidity instead of just deporting them.the pepeni /ayigbe conspirators together with their Muslim and Chinese allies continue unabated to destroy our Akanland and push our people into poverty under the watch of kwasiapsanyin Nana Addo. NDC lost the elections because most Akans and patriotic citizens realized this party does not appreciate or reflect the true interests of the people but rather its a mafia criminal organization that will cause the eventual bloodshed among our people. After the death /murder of Mills NDC lost all its appeal and there was no hope it would ever get back on the right track to serve the interests of the people.NDC is a disappointment and will end up on the landfill of rubbish organizations . NPP from the looks of things will most likely also be joining them soon and in their place the AKAN freedom movement will rise. Anytime an Akan actually does something good or worthy for the nation some pepeni , ayigbe , Muslim or some other minority comes and destroys everything dead, that is the fact. 58% of our bauxite was handed over as a step to colonize the wealth of the Akan , were in the world would a minority be given such privileges if it was not to undermine the majority. All natural resources should be nationalized including gold , then properly developed as sustainable businesses then privatized through a coupon system so all citizens become direct owners . We are definitely a nation of idiotic fools , i have for a while decided to hold my peace because it seemed we have a sensible finance minister making the right moves but this toxic pepeni kwasiapanyin Bawumia has erased all good. Atta Mills went to bed with this Satan and it cost him his life together with 200,000 hardened criminals they sent here that have poisoned our water bodies and long term devastated our economy. China has ignored over a billion of their citizens in dire need of the entering into the post industrial era and come here and promise WHAT? I said that this Bawumia is the reincarnation of the devil and evil that air brained Nana has put in his office. He continues with his project of the islamisation of Ghana with the establishment of an Islamic university to breed toxic propagators of evil in our land. He blocks all Akan diaspora private capital in the tens of billions because its from primarily Christian countries. Where in the world has China given capital , technology and industry for another country to develop? The only reason why this is on the table is to make Ghana a suspicious ally at best to our western civilizations and other christian countries . Members of that council must be independent from all parties, in fact they must stay neutral. The council should reserve the wright to call the government's attention to every mistake within the day's 24 hours.

Our founding fathers should have come out with a type of government that suits us and not copying what someone is doing. Our parliament is not working because they do not understand what they have to do. Even look at those in the house; people like Sampson Ahi from Bodi in the Western region and lot more. They are there just to get paid. I have never heard of any MP coming out with a legislation about something that will benefit the country.

He should know that there are very good members of parliament working in the interest of Ghanaians.

Majority of the MPs do not fall below the category of MPs who don't read the papers given to them but rush to pass bills.

If Casely Hayford were to be serious minded Ghanaian, he could have stood for a seat in parliament in 2016.

I hate to read from fence sitters who have no justifiable excuse to criticise.

I believe Ghanaians would have taken his statement seriously, if he had attempted a parliamentary seat or had served in parliament as a clerk.

He should shut up and allow Ghanaians to think about more important things than the foolish things he is ascribing to.

I don't know the kind of economic analysis you applied to enable you to conclude that operating ten parliaments will be more economical than one. And when the regional parliaments have deliberated about matters concerning them, who then takes up issues concerning Ghana as a whole? This is but only one of the many questions your suggestion invokes. You are asking Ghana to scrap its unitary form of government, and you are not suggesting a federal form of government either. So Mr. Casely Hayford exactly what form of government do you have in mind for Ghana? As the saying goes talk indeed is cheap.

Thinking around it, that system was proposed by the 'mate meho' during the struggle for independence and its immediate aftermath. In my opinion federalism could be a better option to a unitary approach though the former could be a little bit expensive to maintain. Sydney should note that it doesnt matter the kind of system we go with, the problem we have at hand in Ghana when it comes to officialdom is "the mind set of the Ghanaian". Corruption has taken the better of us and we need to change our ways as a people.

I understand how frustrated Me Casely Hayford may be with the performance of the members of parliament but suggesting that the nation should go the federal way is not the answer.He should go back to study the arguments for and against federalism put forward by Ghanaians during the nation's struggle for independence and he will realize that federalism is not the solution to the ineffectiveness of our parliament.Ghana is too small a nation to have regional parliaments of elected members.IT WILL MAKE THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE COUNTRY TOO EXPENSIVE AND UNWIELDY.Will there be a central government to control the regional governments and be in charge of finance,Defence,foreign affairs,internal security,etc,etc?Why blame them alone for not performing well?What about the selection process and those who elected them to be there? It is unfortunate that Casely Hayford in his early time behaved one sided against the NDC and due to his shamefulness today bcos of the failure of the NPP to do things normally, a behavior of the NPP he refused to accept then bcos of his political bigotry, had today caused him to be calling the parliament useless.

There are lawlessness all over the country but yet we claim we have lawmakers. I don't even remember even a single important law pass in Ghana since the birth of 4th republic.
The poor still suffer injustice,the police are still taken bribes, teenagers are still been impregnated by elders,teachers are abusing their students, judges still favors the rich,the rich doesn't go to prison while the cassava thieves are in jail,the least goes on and go the only difference is that some nobody's have became filthy rich since 92 because of this useless Parliament.

Now to the board of directors the veep should appoint, the ministers the president should appoint outside the parliament. All CEO should be appointed by the public service and theÿ should have gone through the ranks of the institution with the workers voting for him. MCE DCE will be voted for by community no partisan politics. Lets stop this crab bring done syndrome if our black thinking minds. CJ will be appointed by the law council with lawyers voting for the nominee. CJ will do the appointment of the supreme court judges and the should serve max of 6 yrs and the CJ 10yrs. I find Casely Hayford's call for abolishing parliament because it is useless and expensive very interesting. I fine his logic, even more interesting. One parliament with 275 members is too expensive and useless. Now he is calling for ten (10). He is silent on their compostion. But how will he make the Regional MPs more effective so that they might not become useless? Democracy all over the world is expensive enterprise. Our MPs as individuals may be contrained with time but that does not mean the institution of parliament is useless. I did not hear him call for more dedicated professionals going into parliament. I did not hear him talk about building capacity for our MPs. I think the work of our MPs is a tedious one. They might have their individual shortcomings. But parliament as an institution should not be described as useless only because some MPs are perceived to be performing below average. We need to build capacity for them to perform. We need to stop passing too many of our individual problems to them for solution. We should ubderstand that MPs are also human beings with their strengths and weaknesses. We should not bastardise them.

Our parliament debates reminds me of boys on the play ground fighting. Their debates are shallow and points scoring, they are without vision and trajectory. The men MP's have turned paliament into a court room. I find our woman MP' very encouraging, they debate very well in my opinion. Parliament and our constitution needs reform.

I would support this guy that Ghana's Parliament is useless if he is not invited by this privileges committee of the parliament. This lecture is a gross disrespectful to the whole institution. This guy should be disciplined.
