The thievery and lawlessness are all perpetuated by the NDC fool soldiers such Ogyam, Ugly Akuffo Addo, Aponkye, Poundsman and Nana Kuffour Abeka among others. To them, life is all about milking the government of Ghana and causing unrest to prevent the other party from fulfilling what Ghanaians voted them into power to do. If people may remember, just after the 2000 elections; the PNDC /NDC trained commandos unleashed so much mayhem on Ghanaians to the extent that, people started to blame the Kuffour administration for the lawlessness. But Ghanaians came to understand that the NDC was behind these atrocities. This year, the problem in the Krobo Odumasi and Somanya was influenced by Sam George and his surrogates. First they pushed the NDC dominated districts assembly members to reject the president's nominated candidate, at the same time, they persuaded the youth of the area to attack the assembly members because, they accused the latter of taking bribes from the rejected DCE nominee. After all was settled, Sam George and his cronies fueled the youth of Odumasi and the environs to engage in skirmishes with the workers of Electricity Company Of Ghana. That also escalated to a point that, the police department also lost their patrol Car due to the infernos that was set by the youth. The administration facilities of the ECG suffered a severe damage. Some of the ECG workers and the youth of the town also sustained injuries. So if today Sam George and his pay to write NDC goons have turned around to blame the NPP administration which is still in the transition period, for instigating the lawlessness in the country. I'm not surprised because the NDC was formed with blood and violence, so they thrive in violence period!

The Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has announced that the government of China has committted 15 billion dollars worth of investment to Ghana.

Dr. Bawumia pointed out that Ghana was able to secure the commitment due to new financing model designed by the Economic Management Team.

Speaking to journalists after returning from a four-day visit to the Peoples Republic of China, Dr. Bawumia stated that there is an outstanding 4 billion dollars deal that will be concluded soon.

“The Peoples Republic of China and the State and Private Sector Enterprises have together committed to support the economic transformation agenda of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. So far the commitment that we received in China before leaving amounted to 15 billion dollars,” he disclosed.

“There is a possibility that within the next month or so there are some discussion that we couldn’t conclude and another 4 billion dollars will be added to that. Of course, we will follow these through,” he added.

Dr. Bawumia stated that the government’s goodwill appealed to many investors such that the private sectorin China were eager to invest in Ghana.

“At various meetings during the 4 day visit, leading Chinese companies and agencies of the government of China signed these MoU totaling about 15 billion. In the area of industrilisation for example the China National Building Materials Equipment Export and Import Cooperation signed a facility with the Private Sector led by the Association of Ghana Industries,” he said.

Dr. Bwumia debunks compromise

Meanwhile, Dr. Bawumia refuted assertions that the commitments to invest 15 billion dollars in Ghana’s economy will compromise the fight against galamsey.

He downplayed possible concerns the support Ghana is getting from China could compromise efforts against illegal mining, of which Chinese nationals are known to be heavily engaged in.

According to him, China is happy with Ghana’s clamp down on illegal mining, which has seen a significant number of Chinese nationals in Ghana arrested.

“The issue of Galamsey is not a China matter. The issue is a galamsey matter and we deal with anybody who is involved in galamsey per our laws and the Chinese are very happy with us enforcing our laws,” the vice president stated.

“They [the Chinese] won’t tell us how to enforce our laws as we can’t tell them how to enforce their laws and I think the fight against galamsey is no respecter of persons regardless of where you come from… you are going to be dealt with the same.”

He added that, the Chinese “are very supportive of us dealing with the galamsey issue as per our laws and our laws are doing a wonderful job so far… I don’t think there is any link between the fight against galamsey and our support from China. China wants us to do the right thing.”

Chinese involvement with the state has been looked on with suspicion from the public given Chinese nationals have gained notoriety for involvement in illegal mining activities, with a significant number of them currently dealing with cases in the court of law.

High-profile donations made to the police and Attorney General’s office from Chinese, were met with criticism from the public with fears the donations could comprise law enforcement stakeholders.

These concerns are not without merit given that a former Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini, revealed pressure was put on him from Chinese officials in Ghana when he tried to fight against illegal mining. According to Inusah Fusseini, the former Chinese Ambassador tried different methods to get him to ease up on the fight against illegal miners within the small-scale mining sector.

The Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is in China for a four-day official visit.

This is the first visit by a high level government official to China since the New Patriotic Party (NPP) took office in January this year.

Dr Bawumia will be returning to Accra on Sunday June 25, 2017.

Ghana was among the first group of Sub-Saharan African countries that established diplomatic relations with China, and the two countries have enjoyed decades of strong ties.

This high level visit is expected to further strengthen the friendly relations and boost economic and political ties.

While in Beijing, Dr.Bawumia is expected to hold bilateral talks with the Chinese Vice President, Li Yuanchao, at the Great Hall of the People, and sign a number of agreements on behalf of Ghana.

Ghana’s Vice President will also meet Chinese leaders including Mr Yu Zhengsheng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese Political Consultative Conference.

He will also meet with the President of the China Exim Bank, Mr Liange Liu; the Executive Vice President of China Development Bank, Mr Wang Yongsheng, as well as Chinese businesses already operating in Ghana or desirous of doing so.

Dr Bawumia is further billed to attend the China-Africa Industrial Capacity Cooperation-Ghana Promotion Conference.

The Vice President, who was accompanied by a government delegation including the Senior Minister, Mr Yaw Osafo Maafo; Trade Minister Alan Kyerematen; Kwasi Amoako-Atta, Minister for Roads and Highways; Mrs Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, Communications Minister; Mr Joe Ghartey, Minister for Railways; Mrs Gifty Ohene Konadu, Coordinator of the ‘One District One Factory’ initiative and Reginald Yofi Grant, Chief Executive of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, will also meet with the Ghanaian community in China and brief them on happenings back home.

Why does NDC and its operatives always try to play a victim card when it comes to dealing with national issues. When your NDC and John Mahama were freely squandering our resources as if there is no tomorrow why didn't you invite the so called unending list of international community to intervene? I mean when your NDC and Mahama and his family were sole sourcing contracts and taking kickbacks with impunity, where were you? Very soon, when the Special Prosecutor Officer starts working, I will expect many of you to jump into their defense, even though, the average Ghanaian on the streets is totally privy of the corrupt activities of the NDC operatives. I sometimes find some of your writings very encouraging, I think I'm appalled by this actions.
