Does anybody know how many ministers without portfolio did Mahama have on top of his known 85 ministers with portfolios? I would rather have 110 ministers with specific assigned portfolio than to have 85 ministers plus several unaccountable ministers without portfolios. Kwadonto Pratt come again. A minister without portfolio is not accountable to the public and Mahama had many of them which if we were to add to the 85 known ministers would bring the number close to 110 ministers in the NDC gov't.

I lived in China for 7 solid years, speak and write Mandarin and have been in thick and thin issues with the Gov't, from visa to business issues! Who in God's world told you 'there is an elaborate flow of directions from Guangzhou to the top...and in reverse?" Go say this in China and see how they feed your carcass to the dogs! What you said smacks of treason in China! The Chinese Communist Party directs and supervises all Gov't businesses, and even Special Administrative and Economic Zones as Hong Kong and Shenzhen still take orders from Beijing. You made mention of the CCPC but what you refused or failed to tell us was the number of State Ministers and their deputies that functioned under the intitutionalized umbrella of the Communist Party. Now to Canada, what has the Queen of England being the monarch of Canada got to do with the 11, 12 or 13 Ministers Canada has at the moment? I am A CANADIAN CITIZEN, and a very proud one at that. We used to have 11 Ministers, the Prime Minister included, as Ministers of State. One other minister would be appointed from the Senate to make up 12 Ministers and that formed the Cabinet. No duplicities nor multiplicities. We pay crazy taxes here because we're convinced some of the moneys treacle down to developing countries like my country of birth. Nana Jantuah is ignorant. Another ignorant technocrat from CDD mentioned that even United States has 46 ministers (Secretaries). What the person did not disclose is that each of the 50 states in United States have their own cabinet. The state of Georgia alone has 53 officials, including the Governor, Secretary of State, Secretary for Agriculture, Attorney General etc. To be generous, let's assume each state has 40 officials responsible for departments, multiplying by the 50 states gives about 2000 officials, plus the 46 cabinet members at the federal level.

In Ghana, we don't have the luxury of having each region with their own cabinet like the United States or our sister country, Nigeria. It is because of not having enough officials to monitor the various ministries and regions that we have so many leakages in the system which create avenue for corruption and other misconducts that drain our country's coffers.

There is a need for a paradigm change in our country and for that to happen, we can't repeat the status quo and expect different results. I believe the President has thought through this carefully and believes that the number is adequate for his vision.

Let us give him time and rather watch the results. The voters will have another chance at the end of his 4 years to decide whether he made an impact in their lives and therefore rehire him or kick him out. The voters are not stupid, ask Mahama!

Most of this minsters study abroad due to the hard facts of working life they returned home begins to canvas for political parties and position themselves to enjoyed the good of Ghana. Did he hear what Ibrahim Dey Abubakari, the former NDC MP of Salaga South said concerning the contract sum about the so-called new Vice Presidential Residence on the Switchback Road, John Mahama claims was being built, in justifying his final plans for the stealing of the official Residence, which has housed about 4 different Vice President's including him, at No 3, Prestige Link, Cantonments?
Did this Nana Jantuah hear how much Ibrahim Dey Abubakari said, Baba Kamara added to the bloated cost of that building which he stole? It was in dollars, many millions of dollars.
This joker called Nana Jantuah should go and do the conversion of that amount of dollars Baba Kamara padded onto that contract and stole according to Ibrahim Dey Abubakari and comeback and tell Ghanaians how many months that amount alone would have paid for the salaries of these Ministers?
Just that one stealing of Ghana by Baba Kamara and John Mahama in the so-called contract for a new Vice Presidential Residence, just the one create, stealing and sharing gig by Kamara and Mahama, he should tell us how far that amount would have gone in the remuneration of the ministers so what he is saying can be put in the proper perspective.
